What's New
"The symptom, the prime symptom, most important symptom of love is that the devotee wants to see that his Lord's name, fame, etc. become widespread. He wants to see that 'My Lord's name be known everywhere.' This is love. If I love somebody, I want to see that his glories are spread all over the world."

(Srila Prabhupada Lecture, New Vrindavan, September 5, 1972)

"This is the business of the disciple, how to glorify the spiritual master, parampara. I glorify my spiritual master, you glorify your spiritual master. If we simply do that, glorify, then Krishna is glorified."

(Srila Prabhupada Lecture, Vrindavan, August 4, 1974)

"Yes, you do not know how to serve Krishna, so you simply assist your guru—we must always think like this, that I do not know how to serve Radha and Krishna, but my Spiritual Master knows so I am assisting him."

(Srila Prabhupada Letter, April 25, 1972)

"Personally I am humble servant of Krishna as you are also, but I am deputed to accept your service just to transfer it to Krishna as via media. I shall try to do this service to you and Krishna throughout my life, and I am so proud to have such assistants as you are to help me in my mission to push on the Krishna Consciousness Movement."

(Srila Prabhupada Letter, May 1, 1969)

"I am successful only because I am following strictly the orders of my Guru Maharaja, and I do not deviate. Therefore people respect what I am saying and they listen because I do not say one thing and do another."

(Srila Prabhupada Letter, June 16, 1972)

"I may give initiation very easily, but what can I do? I am prepared to go to hell for service of Lord Caitanya."

(Srila Prabhupada Letter, September 4, 1972)

"Try to understand our mission of Krishna consciousness. The world is all going to hell. They do not know what is the value of life. Like blind sheep following a blind leader, they are all going to the slaughterhouse. Human life is meant for saving, but instead the leaders are keeping the people in darkness. This is suicidal. Let us try to save them. Christian, Hindu, or Muslim, it doesn't matter."

(Srila Prabhupada Conversation, Bombay, April 5, 1977)

"Now, some of these Mayavadi sannyasis accuse me that 'Bhaktivedanta Swami is spoiling our Hindu religion.' Means dvesta. They do not like Christians. They do not like Mohammedans. But I am accepting Mohammedans, Christian, any damn rascal: 'Come on. Chant Hare Krishna.'"

(Srila Prabhupada Morning Walk, Bombay, February 19, 1974)

"As far as I am concerned I have the blessings of my guru maharaj. I do not need anything else. That is how I went to your country, just to try to carry out his order. By his blessings it has come out successful."

(Srila Prabhupada Letter, October 15, 1974)

"So people say that I have done miracle. Maybe. At least it is the first time in the history that Vedic culture in its true form is being distributed all over the world."

(Srila Prabhupada Lecture, Vrindavan, April 7, 1976)

Reporter: Does it ever happen, Swamiji, that some disciples of yours may disagree with you in spiritual matters?

Devotee: No.

Prabhupada: Unless he is a fool. (laughter) Unless he's damn fool, they do not. (laughter) If he's sane and sober, open-hearted, then he will agree.

(Srila Prabhupada Interview, Delhi, March 25, 1976)

Devotee: Srila Prabhupada, it is said in the Bhagavad-gita that if one thinks at the time of death, if he thinks of Krishna, he goes to Krishna. What if one thinks of his spiritual master?

Prabhupada: He will go to Krishna, because spiritual master is also going to Krishna.

(Srila Prabhupada Lecture, Nairobi, October 28, 1975)
