Dear Srila Prabhupada,
On this day, your Appearance Day, all the people in the Western world became extremely fortunate. You made it your life's mission to demonstrate to everyone the process of how to go back home back to Godhead, to show by your own example how our lives may become truly successful. Please accept my humble obeisances at your lotus feet.
I beg you that even though inadequate, you may accept this humble offering. It is my aspiration that somehow I may be engaged in your service, either serving you directly, or serving your true servants, whom you are guiding in the fulfillment of the transcendental longings of Sri Sri Radha-Krsna. I am your eternal servant, and have no other desire.
You are our ever-well wisher, the spiritual master of the entire world. You came to bring the light of Krsna consciousness to us, who have been languishing in the darkness of material existence from time immemorial, far away from Lord Krsna's glorious temples (places of worship) and the land of Vrindavan, where you have your eternal residence.
On September 13, 1965 on board the ship 'Jaladuta' you wrote: "I emphatically say to you, O brothers, you will obtain your good fortune from the Supreme Lord Krsna only when Srimati Radharani becomes pleased with you." In your 'Prayer to the Lotus Feet of Krsna' you expressed your readiness to serve the order of your spiritual master, Sri Srimad Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur.
Therein lies the essence of your transcendental message. If we are somehow or other able to please the spiritual master, to employ our sincerity and given qualifications in fulfilling your desires, by this process alone we may attract the loving glance of our eternal Lord, Sri Krsna, because the spiritual master is the most confidential servant of Srimati Radharani.
In this prayer you are telling us directly: "As the vast mercy of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu conquers all directions, a flood of transcendental ecstasy will certainly cover the land. When all the sinful, miserable living entities become happy, the Vaisnavas' desire is then fulfilled." Your desire is for us to cooperate, and maintain your mission.
You succeeded in the order of your spiritual master, fulfilled his desire, and the chanting of the holy name of Krsna was heard 'in all the cities, towns and villages on the earth, and from all the oceans, seas, rivers and streams.' By your surrender and prayer you enlisted the assistance of the Supreme Personality of Godhead Himself, and in this way you did the otherwise impossible.
O master, you came to deliver us from this ocean of nescience. Saktyavesa-avatara, empowered for this purpose with Lord Krsna's own internal energy, non-different from Him. I am begging you, please forgive my many offenses at your lotus feet, and bestow your mercy upon me. Please instruct me, make me realize, so I may understand how I am able to serve you.
